The other day, in the intersection of Ocean and Soquel, I saw a bicycle riding crossing guard (off duty or on her way to another street) stop at a red light, look both ways, then pedal through.
yesh. but it was a low-traffic time of day. i was really impressed by the shear boldness and irony of a crossing guard blowing a red light in broad daylight. i mean, on so many levels, that's pretty ballsy. and then i recalled the pics of Amsterdam streets, what with the bike only green lights that open an entire intersection to bike traffic, and i think, now why can't we get that here?

Pedal across Soquel or across Ocean? both of them are pretty busy streets at that intersection
